Hard Rock Hotel Marbella

Had a short solo break at the HRH Marbella and it was a fantastic experience.. the pools were lovely with attentive pool/bar staff. The room was great - replenished coffee pods and water each night, and the double balcony doors completely block out any noise. Easy walking distance to Puerto Banús harbour from the hotel. For a few days to relax in the sun, I would recommend!

Understaffed, no real urgency! Examples, we had booked a twin and a double room. On book in we were informed the double was in fact another twin but would be changed the following day which was fine. Stayed four nights, no bed changed! My daughters managed to lock themselves out on their balcony, it took three phone calls to reception and a physical visit to reception to get someone to come up with a key to enter the room and then the balcony doors. Drinks at the pool took an age and were delivered up to 20 minutes apart. It wasn’t that busy there but there seemed hardly any staff! Our room wasn’t overly cleaned, we ran out of tea/coffee on night one, asked reception for replacement to be told it’s complimentary for the first night only! Come on, you get this facility in a £40.00 B and B and I don’t have to tell you how much 2 rooms over Easter holidays cost for a hotel chain like this. There was a Yoga class everyday that my wife and daughters wanted to attend that the hotel provide, it took 3 separate visits to reception to try and find out where it was taking place, we were sent to the wrong areas twice and then can you believe it the person who runs it failed to show up for the early morning session! Seems such a shame as I stayed here when it was the H10 Hotel Chain which was amazing. There

We only had a brief stay at Hardrock which was an experience in its self the staff I have to say are amazing especially the lobby bar staff, we had a studio suite which I thought was small and average and not worth the extra money. Location is great for everything. My main irritation was the amount of self obsessed Instagram influencers filming all day long in the hotel it’s nauseating but I guess it’s the world we live in. The evening in the hotel is also an eye opener as the lobby bar becomes a Mecca for lonely men or groups of golfers seeking company the bar had five hookers sat drinking and turning a trick, it’s in your face and blatant to the point where we could see the underwear and suspenders on one lady! The hotel has a security system and entry after a certain time is by your room key but when I brought the subject up with the hotel I was told the hotel is open to the public and they can’t do anything about it which isn’t the case after hours it’s supposed to be guests only and I can assure you these where not paying guests they where getting paid by the hour guests, so I can only come to the conclusion that they all have an “agreement “ with the hotel. Just to put into context we are a well travelled couple who have stayed and lived all over the world and we are not naive to know this doesn’t go on but it was so in your face that said it made for an entertaining evening on a rainy day in Spain. Would I go back, no which is a shame because the hotel has a lot of good qualities just disappointing there is a seedy side to the place.
