W Ibiza

nice location, very expensive for what you get. first room was tiny no opening window. we got moved to a disabled room! the photos make it look amazing its not i felt letdown . staff are nice but the hotel isnt

Great hotel, close to bars & restaurants with great views of the sea. Really nice roof top pool and breakfast is a must!

Nice hotel. Would I stay there again, probably not for these reasons. Paid extra for a Premier Deluxe room as we wanted a balcony but our outside view was over a road, unpleasant and noisy. We wished we hadn’t bothered. Also the bathroom was just the shower and toilet. The sink and a shelf were outside in the bedroom right next to the door. I prefer my bathroom furniture in my bathroom. Personal preference, and we found it most inconvenient. There was a terrible smell in the room. Reported twice and finally it seemed to disappear after somebody turned up with bleach to pour down the sink. Breakfast is à la carte which was good and the staff are all very friendly and helpful. The sun is full on round the pool first thing but as it moves round, a lot of the pool is in shade. There is a rooftop pool where you don’t have the problem, depending on where you sit, but it isn’t a very big area, so best to get up there at 11 when it opens. There are cabanas, but they are for guests who have paid for more expensive rooms which I read about in someone else’s TA report. Bar food is very expensive, but where isn’t nowadays. 18 euros for a small bowl of tiny nachos and a small bowl of guacamole. We bought crisps from the supermarket next door and had these with our drinks. Ideally placed, with a nice beach right in front and a lovely promenade to walk along with a loads of bars and restaurants and even more if you walk further into the town. Restaurant Street, as it’s known. Lovely marina with even more bars and restaurants. Great cocktails at Liquido. Cash only though, but well worth it. Took the ferry to Ibiza old town and thought it was well worth it. Lovely walk around the town and up to the very top for the views. Hippy market on the Saturday which of course was busy, but enjoyed the experience.

Stayed here three nights on a stress-free BA Holiday, visiting the island for the first time with friends/family located elsewhere (Ibiza town, in the south, and Sant Antoni de Portmany, on the west coast). We found this hotel to be ideally suited to visit several island locations (we rented a car, for convenience, but many spots are reachable by bus or taxi on Ibiza's well-connected roads). Or you could just as easily go nowhere and experience the relaxing atmosphere of Santa Eulalia itself. Rooms are .. interesting, to say the least? Ours was an L-shape with the bathroom tucked away in the corner. At first the room felt bigger than it actually was, good for a few days though it may feel more cramped if staying longer. The odd room shape led to awkward sitting / viewing angles and eventually we just rearranged the furniture as best we could and one night even resorted to watching TV from the balcony. Rooms are stocked with all the amenities you'd expect from a Marriott property (hair dryer, steam iron, shampoo/conditioner, coffee machine, etc.), cans of water daily was a nice touch. Skip the expensive minibar and stock the fridge yourself with treats and drinks from the many nearby supermarkets (Euroski or Spar are the closest). Hotel vibe and atmosphere is cool, modern and chic, reflecting the island's reputation but without the bustle of Ibiza town or the party atmosphere of other hotels, closer to the action. Many, many lounging spots - indoors or outdoors, poolside or rooftop - and midweek surprisingly easy to find sunbeds (no chair hogs!). At least until the busy weekend, when early bird gets the worm but then if you struggle to get your preferred spot remember you're steps away from the beach, alongside a promenade that will take you into Santa Eulalia town and yet another beach? Those that couldn't find something weren't looking hard enough, or need to wake up a little earlier. As for things to do, you'd be remiss if you didn't visit at least one famous club (we did Pacha) and Eivissa Old Town, a UNESCO site, but the W will just as well accommodate a relaxing do-nothing beach side holiday if that's how you choose to do Ibiza. One final mention: despite reading many complaints of slow service, we experienced the complete opposite - warm, friendly, attentive, personalized service that was very noticeable, and appreciated. Special thanks to Sebastian, Maria and Renato at the morning breakfast service, all of whom spotted us elsewhere in the hotel and made it a point to greet us and say hello. Was it perfect? No. We even had a strange mixup with someone else's bags in our room at check-in. But the front desk staff were very apologetic, and the valet / concierge were quick to rectify the situation, which is more than we could ask. We don't often come back to a place, but we will very much consider it given the convenience of getting to Ibiza from London, and an excellent experience at this hotel.

An incredible stay at W Ibiza! The whole team went above and beyond to make our stay special. Andrea in particular was amazing and super professional. The location is perfect and it is easy to find restaurants and bars nearby, and easy to get taxis to places further away. Thank you so much, we will definitely be back.
