Received a hotel voucher from American Airlines for a stay at this hotel. The hotel shuttle filled the bus with those on the curb ahead of us and we had to wait for the next one. We waited for over an hour and he never came back! The Marriott Shuttle driver felt sorry for us and gave us a ride. Once we got to the hotel we found that there were 20+ people in line ahead of us. It was now 2:30 am and I was dead tired. There was only one receptionist and he was taking ~10 minutes per customer. At 5:30 am we finally got our room. They still charged the $100 deposit. We got about 2 hours sleep and got back to the airport to catch our postponed flight. No apologizes, no communication, They charged me an additional $12 for some unknown reason, which I have had my credit card company dispute. I did not have a good experience with this hotel.

This is one of many hotels along the strip leading to LAX. Being further out on Century Blvd. and one of the Hilton offshoot brands it was much less expensive than many of the other airport chain hotels. It still has a convenient parking garage attached for a $55 a night in and out parking fee. The public space in the lobby is quite large and pleasant. It is adjacent to a casual dining area and bar. This large space came in handy as you will see below. The rooms and bathrooms are very small but clean and tidy. It is totally functional for an overnight airport stay. The AC unit was incredibly loud as it cycled on and off all night. The bed was soft but comfortable enough for one night. There are no views from any room as far as I can tell. The hotel did not seem full so the room and hallway were quiet. Our friends traveling with us had to request a room change as the adjacent elevator motors came through the walls loud and clear. Even moving two doors down they could still hear it. The efficiency of the hotel stopped at the staff, especially the front desk. None of our digital keys and advance room sign-ins worked. They would not allow you to check in at the desk before 3 PM whether a room was ready or not. They made everybody wait in the lobby. At 2:30 in the afternoon there were about 40-50 groups of travelers with bags piled up in the lounge area. Then they yelled an announcement that "everybody can get in line to sign in" at precisely 3 PM. You can imagine the rush and the length of the line with 2 clerks at the desk. Those of us with digital keys just waited and nothing happened. We were not about to stand in a 45 minute line. Eventually one in our group butted in at the desk and the lady tapped a few keys and his digital key popped up. I was too embarrassed to do that. I eventually called the Hilton Diamond Member Desk. They could not help as nobody was answering a phone at the hotel. I gave up and at last stood in the 40 minute line to get my digital key. In the end it took me an hour and a half to check in. I asked the disinterested desk clerk why the promised digital key did not work. He said "probably some hotels don't use it." What? He said he would always check in at the desk to get a digital key. Then what is the purpose of the program? Shouldn't the app tell you that? Staff made no eye contact and mumbled something like "thank you for being a Hilton Diamond member" in an exasperated tone. He did not even ask how many keys I needed and told me nothing about the amenities. They apparently serve a breakfast. I checked it out and it was not very appealing so passed on using my included breakfast credit. There is a large Starbucks next door and a Mc Donalds on the other side of the parking garage for those who feel they can do better. In the end for the price this hotel was still a deal and had far better rooms than the more expensive "boutique" Hilton H Hotel down the street where we stayed last year. Just overlook the Motel 6 check in experience which is the worst Hilton public interface I have ever experienced.

Hilton brand hotels are my choice places to stay. This Hilton Garden Inn located close to LAX is clean and convenient. The desk staff for the most part was friendly. There was a slight issue where one desk person seemed put-off and short with answering a question. She may have been having a bad day. We had registered on line for a room on the 2nd floor. When we arrived a little early the room wasn’t ready so we accepted a room on the 10th floor. The room was typical layout. It was clean and well appointed. There is no safe in the room and no security boxes at check-in. The AC worked well. The only problem with the room was actually the water. Pressure was low and it took a while for hot water. I guess being on the 10th floor this was the reason. You’d think they would compensate somehow for that. Leaving the hot water run for 5-7 minutes it finally got hot. I did not mention this to the staff. One day 2the TV was off the air. When I enquired about this they said it would be out until maintenance could fix it. It never got back on the air before we left the next day. The restaurant on premises is good, though limited, and hotel prices. The waitress,Gaby, was pleasant and friendly even as she was the only waitstaff and very busy. Beware they do not accept cash. As a place to stay for a transit stay it was a good.
