Knotts Berry Farm Resort Hotel

We are finishing up our stay at the hotel. The staff has been wonderful. Our flight had been delayed significantly and there was no problem checking in at 1 am local time. It was great to have such a friendly reception after a stressful day. The standard double room feels small but was clean and beds comfortable. Bathrooms could use a refresh however and the counter is tiny. We did the classic package which included breakfast buffet which was filling. Best buffet eggs I’ve had in awhile. The pool was cold but a great spot for a midday break from the park when the sun was hot and the lines long. We had no issue getting lounge chairs despite it being busy. The pool towels however were a joke. I am a petite lady and they didn’t make it around my waist- bring some from the room. After the park, I did take out from the hotel restaurant which was easy and grabbed a very sweet boysenberry cocktail from the bar. Note that the pop machine is way cover priced. But there is a Walgreens 5 min walk away for anything you forgot to bring. All in all a great stay.

The Knott's Hotel was pretty underwhelming. It did serve it's purpose in terms of proximity to the park and hospitable staff. Check-in was easy and I was able to park there early while family went to the park. The pool was cold, but we visited in February, so we were not expecting too much. The property was clean, nothing notable about the actual hotel, but there were mosquitos in the lobby and second floor common area which I found a bit odd. The room itself was nothing special at all, we stayed on a low floor above the entrance of the hotel and could hear the music from the lobby all night, I was expecting them to turn it down at least a little after 10pm, but it went all night. Luckily the air conditioner in our room was so loud that we kept the fan going on all night to drown out the lobby music. Also, I found it strange there was no water refilling station on the property, even in the gym. Not very intuitive of an oversight in 2026. All in all, unless I absolutely needed to stay at the hotel closest to the park, I would likely not stay here again.

This was my third time staying overnight in this hotel with a package with parking, breakfast and entry to Knott's Berry farm, which is a nice short walk away. The hotel was clean, staff helpful and friendly, but their dinner and included breakfast was not even mediocre food. Dinner was expensive and the Caesar salad with shrimp was not good, not very many shrimp and not fresh lettuce and almost $20. The kids said their hamburger and chicken tenders were not very good. The included breakfast had most of the hot dishes almost cold and not very good. Service at the restaurant was good.

Anyone planning on staying at Knott's hotel, please be aware they (SIX FLAGS) have changed their reservations policy. Now, all reservations are immediately charged for the first night, and that cost is NON REFUNDABLE. For decades, the first night was not charged until three days prior to arrival. This information is from hotel management, and as of 1 February the policy change is not noted on the hotel or reservations website. So anyone considering staying at Knott's, and if your plans could in any way change, it is now more of risk to make advance reservations than it is to check availability as a walk-in. Last week (January, 2026) I personally made advance reservations for a future visit, as I have for years, that my credit card company flagged as fraudulent because there was no information on the new, immediate charge policy. My credit card was de-activated, I am being issued a new card with a NEW NUMBER that I now must change with every subscription, insurance, utility, and other automatic payment. After 20 years we've been waiting to renew this year's Knott's Pass, which we will now probably not renew; and it's doubtful we will stay at the hotel again. Thank you, Six Flags.

We stayed here as a family and experienced a serious safety concern that was not handled appropriately. The connecting door between rooms had virtually no sound insulation, I could clearly hear the neighboring adults' normal conversation, and the kids screaming and electronics. This was not the other family's fault, but a room quality issue. When I reported it, it was escalated as a security issue anyway. The manager later told me they always suggest guests open the connecting door and use pillows or blankets for sound insulation, which was concerning. More importantly, later that morning we were unable to open our room door to exit for several minutes. We tried repeatedly, a staff member witnessed it, and I called the hotel operator while we were still unable to get out. The door only opened after significant force was used. Being temporarily unable to exit a hotel room, especially while traveling with children, is a serious life-safety issue. Despite this, we were later told there was nothing wrong with the door and were offered only a partial discount. I rarely leave reviews, but I feel it's important to share this so other guests are aware and so this issue is addressed before someone experiences it during an actual emergency.
