Overall, the wedding went well, and our guests had a wonderful time. However, there were several issues with the venue that I feel need to be addressed, especially considering the importance of such a special event. The walkway leading to the ceremony area is a serious safety concern. The uneven trail creates a tripping hazard and would greatly benefit from being paved or otherwise improved to provide a safer walking surface for guests. The dining tables were also in poor condition, with rough and splintered surfaces. Thankfully, I had brought tablecloths, which helped cover them. The ceremony grounds were not well maintained and had quite a few weeds that my husband ended up pulling himself before the ceremony. Another concern was the dining chairs. The venue should provide separate chairs for the reception rather than requiring guests or the wedding party to move chairs from the ceremony area to the dining area. For a wedding venue, I feel this should be part of the setup and service provided. While we are grateful that the wedding itself went well and everyone enjoyed themselves, these maintenance and service issues took away from the overall experience. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this venue to a future bride until these concerns are addressed and the property is better maintained.

Upon entering the room, we discovered what appeared to be black mold in the bathroom shower, along with a black clump of hair on the floor and cobwebs on the ceiling (photos attached). I immediately reported the mold to the front desk staff member, Brianna, who was extremely dismissive right away. She offered no apology and basically gave me the feeling that I was bothering her by even bringing it up. She insisted that it was only mildew, downplayed my concerns, and refused to provide me with the manager’s contact information. I finally obtained the manager’s information the next morning from another staff member on duty. This was, by far, the worst hotel and customer service experience I have ever had in 40 years ANYWHERE. Brianna made her assessment that the issue in question was mildew without ever entering the room to inspect the growth herself. It was distinctly black in color, which contradicts all common descriptions of it being white or gray in appearance. All of this raises a troubling conclusion: If she was confident enough to assert it was “mildew” without seeing it firsthand, it suggests that she was already aware of the issue, did not address the problem prior to our check-in, and knowingly let us use the room. Brianna sent housekeeping to work on the mold issue, but we were refused as we were concerned because of the fact that disturbing mold can release spores into the air, which is known to have severe health effects. Despite our concerns, we were unable to leave the hotel due to arriving after 10pm and my girlfriend’s exhaustion from a long drive. To mitigate the risk of mold exposure, we implemented several measures, including running the bathroom fan, keeping the windows open, and refraining from showering unfortunately which was much needed after a long day and drive. Unfortunately, these measures did not fully address our concerns, and we were left feeling anxious about our health and disregarded by your staff. Calls and emails were sent to the hotel to rectify the issue in some form or manner and now about 2.5 months later, I have not received ANY sort of apology or response in any way. To add, the dumpster I parked near was kept open all night with animals hanging around like racoons and seagulls looking for scraps. This trip was a special occasion to celebrate landmark point in my girlfriend's life. I chose this hotel and paid a premium rate directly, rather than booking a discounted price through a third-party site. I did this to support a small, independently owned business. While I was not expecting five-star hotel-level accommodations, I did expect to receive the baseline essentials of a clean, safe room and respectful service consistent with the premium rate I paid. Unfortunately, none of these expectations were met. Need to say more?

I had the most relaxing few days and truly needed the opportunity to get away, reset, and refresh. The setting was so peaceful and beautiful, and everything about the stay felt just right. The rooms were lovely, with the perfect balance of feeling pampered while still having that cozy, homey feeling. The grounds were beautiful, and the fire pits at night, right across from the beach, were simply amazing. One of my favorite parts was walking across to the Cow Tipper each morning for the most delicious coffee. ☕️ There was something so peaceful about starting each day that way. I’m leaving feeling refreshed, grateful, and already hoping I’ll get the chance to stay again. 🤍

Friendly and attentive Front Office team member, she made us feel comfortable and welcomed! Provided excellent service! Loved the room, it was spacious and had everything I needed! The decor was great!

Very clean and looks to be recently remodeled. The front desk is not too helpful - no maps of the area or brochures with activities. This place is not on the ocean although the ocean is a short walk away. Breakfast is not included and is next door to the motel. There are games on site and firepits but we didn't use them. Your basic motel accomodation. You can park outside your room.
