Coral Reef Suites Key Biscayne Mia

i just love this place. if you want to pay $1,000 a night...the Ritz is literally a few hundred yards away. i sit in the coral reef pool and look up at the Ritz rooms...but frankly the sheets and bedding at the Ritz has declined in years so they're just not any better than the coral reef bedding. the neighborhood is...well...exactly the same as the Ritz. The private beach access you get at Coral Reef is ....exactly the same as the Ritz.....(and you even get to use their same sand...and beach water) Rooms are clean and nice...and staff are wonderful....with those caveats that other reviewers have noted.

I’ve stayed here many times over the years. It is very clean and very simple. It feels family like with a mix of residence that live here and short term renters and overnight guests. The neighborhood itself just like all of key biscayne is perfect beautiful safe and amazing. Now, when you consider the price, the appearance is not perfect, but you look past the imperfections and beds are very comfortable. Housework is always clean. It is safe and quiet and is an incredible value.

DISCLAIMER: this is my experience. ROACHES. I put the AC to 63 to try to get it cold and it stayed at 70s. I had roaches and I'm under the assumption there was mold (I am not an expert in mold or anything in this area)(My symptoms tend to only happen when I am near mold). I am allergic to mold. I got incredibly sick with rashes and could barley lift my suit case after staying at the hotel. Before staying there I was able to lift the suit case and run up the 3 flights of stairs with no problem. I found mold on my pillow case (pictured). As soon as I left the hotel my illness was still there but immediately decreased in severity. I was not sick at all. I did not sit to anyone who was sick on the plane. I wash my hands and have hand sanitizer and use it often. I felt as though I smoked 3 packs of cigarettes in one sitting. The price is nice but be warned this is not somewhere I would ever recommend my grandma or even anyone to stay. If you have breathing issues stay away. I couldn't get ahold of the front desk about the issue as well. The walls are incredibly thin as well. I could hear a mouse fart on the other side of the wall.. also the pictures look as though they are AI photos and not even close to what is in that room. (Please view all photos) STAY AWAY!!! I experienced the following symptoms while staying at the hotel. (I since left to go to another hotel due to the symptoms being so severe. They decreased as soon as I got in the car but I am still having a cough and had blown my nose and had black stuff in my snot) Cough Shortness of breath Rash Snotty nose Weakness Vomiting due to the cough Fatigue Confusion
