Holiday Inn Miami West-Airport Area

To start off rooms were a little high to be charged for this type of stay when I got there. When I researched through my work app all reviews were goods like they were paid for or put together. This was false advertisement. I checked out early, first it was the room water, it was milky white. Then as I observed the bathroom the water did not get hot i let it run then i called downstairs, the man and lady were the only good piece of service on this trip, i was ill and couldn't keep going back and forth, they moved my room after maintenance came to my room to test the water. They stated let it run for 20 minutes, never heard of this! It had already been 25 after it did not get hot I asked to be moved to another room. As i was packing up I started looking at the interior of the hotel room. It had been spray painted, and I wish I would've taken pictures but because I was ill I was just trying to get comfortable and ready for a family wedding hours away. Moved to the next room, the same thing, i stayed packed because my mother turned on the shower and the handle fell off, they moved us again A TOTAL OF 5X, we appreciated the effort but because it was so hot i couldnt breathe. We were so uncomfortable we left the hotel early that morning to find if there was any openings we could take because this was false advertisement. We didn't have any luck, so we came back to talk to the man that was upfront. He came with and saw these conditions. The bathrooms were horribly stains everywhere floors, counters the tubs the walls, and as we were moving I was mortified to see how the rooms were being cleaned. During checkout time the rooms were being cleaned in a matter of seconds. I watched one of the housekeeping for the floor, throw water in the tubs, she didnt scrub anything, hardly wiped she did a lot of spraying and was doing 2/3 rooms at a time which explains why they were very disgusting and dark brown/black looking at the bottom of tubs you could tell they spray painted over everything in these rooms because of the peeling and discoloration, it was over rust thats unsanitary, there were stains in the carpet, there were not many towels in the room. They were very small for a child. I was so disgusted with the rooms and the way that everything was going, I did not even go take a look at the pool. I will be reaching out to the Better Business Bureau because this needs to be investigated, I was told I could not get my money back because I booked through a third-party which was my job. This was just all unacceptable so I left the day before we were supposed to check out. I am a cleaner and how inspections go they need to be reported I wish that I could get my money back from the stay, this was very uncomfortable, not clean, no type of air and just filthy but crazy smelled good. The only thing I can say was clean was the bedspreads, pillows and the lobby. It will fool you! POORLY PUT TOGETHER FALSE ADVERTISED!

Howly shiitakes. No hot water (like, how??? For over a month, according to other reviews). But hey, the AC sucked so you’ll warm up pretty dang quick. Have a fam of 3 staying for a week- got two towels. Sharing is caring. Probably didn’t have the hot water to wash them. No pool towels either. Would’ve been OK if there would’ve been a cabana with some mama beverages. Nope. Closed the kitchen and bar promptly at 10:30 AM. Room keys didn’t work. I needed vacay but with a crabby husband, crappy hotel, and a whiny teen, I’m done -and it’s only Monday. Send help.

If I could leave zero stars, I would. Pictures can be deceiving and listing details can be deceiving. We needed to stay one night and this Holiday Inn was convenient so we thought… it took 30 minutes to check in, we checked into the stinky room, they air conditioner was broken, maintenance was called, showed up 30 minutes later, waved his hand over the vent, found out that we were not lying. It actually was out and disappeared for another 20 minutes only to come back to let us know we had to change rooms. During that 20 minute wait we wanted to track down some ice misled on where the ice machine was. The room was dirty and the traffic outside was really loud. We thought we could just take it because it would be a temporary stay until we found the dirty sheets and covers. We went downstairs to request a refund and the staff told us she had to call management because she could not authorize a refund. It was just a poop show. It is unfortunate, but it is very much the truth. On the bright side, they did refund our money after showing a high level of frustration. You get what you pay for with this place! Very scary place!

We needed a place to stay near the airport for one night. The service was sufficient and friendly and the shuttle service from the airport was dependable. The rooms old and felt dirty. It did appear the linens were clean and the rooms were serviced, so I do not think this was a matter of the housekeeping staff. The carpet was gross and the bathroom looked like mildew has stained the tile and been caulked over. I would have paid more to stay somewhere else.

This property shouldn’t be called a Holiday Inn. I’m going to try to summarize my thoughts. Don’t stay here if you want to sleep. I’m on the 10th floor, in a room with a “balcony.” It is literally 2 ft wide, no chairs, nothing. The glass door does not actually shut all the way, allowing for extreme road noise. If you want to lock it, the gap becomes wider. It was unlocked when I checked in-so families, definitely double check this. I did not sleep well at all due to the extreme noise and I have my AC down to 60, and I’m still warm. The main issue is with the front desk. I needed a late check out due to work. I put it in my notes when I booked, called 2 days before check in. During check in, the front desk clerk told me to call the night manager at 11:15pm. I stayed up. He was rude, telling me to call in the morning, saying no late check out. I asked what would change in the morning if I called then, he responded nothing. I asked if there was a conference room or a private office that I could use to complete my virtual work meeting as I just needed a private space to complete it. He told me there was a conference room, but I would need to rent it to be able to utilize it… which makes no sense because I would really only be using the space as a quiet place for approximately one hour, utilizing no amenities, except for the electricity. The morning staff at the front desk also seem disinterested in their jobs. I needed to break a $20 for cash, so I asked if I could get cash. The front desk said that they didn’t handle any cash and redirected me to the restaurant. The restaurant redirected me to the front desk, to which then I respond that the front desk sent me here for you. The restaurant staff walked with me to the front desk, and told the front desk that they did not do anything with cash. The front desk then redirected me again to a gas station. Looking back, how does the front desk not realize that the restaurant does not handle any cash, and how does the restaurant not handle any cash? The only thing I liked about this day is the bed. The bed was very comfortable, but with the road noise, I couldn’t even enjoy sleeping in the comfortable bed.
