The Chelsea

Loved this hotel! My adult daughter and I stayed at the Hotel Chelsea and loved every minute of it! The hotel is so charming and unique, beautiful lobby, kind/helpful staff and spacious rooms/bathrooms. Having a balcony in NYC, especially a balcony that resembles a French hotel, was spectacular! Can't say enough about it. Great location, close to the subway line, safe/quiet neighborhood. Helpful, friendly staff and great housekeeping!

We stayed at Hotel Chelsea for a week this March. We've stayed here before and loved it and this time was no different. Hotel staff is always so friendly and helpful! We loved our room and all the amenities, beds are super comfy, love that we get to hear the history of the rooms and who stayed in them back in the day. We ate at Cafe Chelsea several times and Teruko once on this stay. Both were delightful. A huge shoutout to Aiden at the front desk, who helped us with some things at check-in that made our stay even more delightful!

We had always wanted to stay at the Chelsea because of its rich history. The remodel of the hotel was spot on, preserving a lot of the old charm. The location is excellent, the staff were very nice and there for anything we needed. Would 100% stay here again, and will.

The Chelsea is a magical place. The accommodations are truly barefoot clean and beautiful and so comfortable. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The housekeepers do a fantastic job and are attentive and kind. The room service is delightful! It doesn’t feel so much like a high traffic hotel and has a more grounded home like feeling, but still private. My favorite part, is the spa. I highly recommend Lua for the healing arts. I have received several treatments from her, and she has changed my life so much for the better. She is intuitive, patient, kind and extremely talented. It is my favorite place to getaway and I always feel lifted and renewed when I leave.

We joined family (including a three year old) for a celebration, our first to this hotel. And it was certainly the best we have been to (having stayed at a number of high-end hotels in NYC) - made so by the staff we encountered who made us feel personally welcomed. We were on floor 7 and at the front of the hotel (iconic view) so quite a way away from the street noise - might be noisier further down? Toiletries superb, room lovely and comfortable and clean, with excellent service. Lobby Bar fun and busy and we could pre-book as residents, with superb cocktails (NYC top end prices but what do you expect?). We ate twice in the Spanish-themed restaurant - again pre booked. Great service and excellent food (ate fish dishes each time). I took the three year old for early breakfast in the Cafe Chelsea - again great service, not rushed and good food. Obviously a really popular place for locals to meet. Subway close by, walking easy. And.. it is the Hotel Chelsea with all that that means.
