Wyndham Garden Miami International Airport

$18 parking undisclosed. They are part of the Miami metro parking racket. No private parking. You get there and have to scan a QR code. There is no tolerance nor are you allowed to pull up to check in. They have no parking signs in their valet lane and at the entrance.

I will absolutely not book with a Wyndham property again, and I would not recommend this hotel. First, you advertise an airport shuttle, yet your staff was unable to accommodate us. I called the hotel at 10:45 p.m. to request the shuttle, and your staff did not contact the shuttle service until 11:15 p.m. By that point, of course, the shuttle service was closed. It took 30 minutes just to try to arrange a shuttle for us. Ridiculous. We ended up having to take a taxi. The next morning, when we requested a shuttle back to the airport, we were told that the shuttle runs ONLY once every hour. You do realize that flights do not depart every hour, right? Nowhere on your website or at the property did we see anything clearly stating that the airport shuttle operates only once per hour. Because the shuttle schedule did not work with our flight, we had to call an Uber. So despite specifically choosing a hotel that advertised an airport shuttle, we had to pay for our own transportation both to and from the airport. Second, the “self check-in” process was awful. When we arrived around midnight, the front desk employee was helping another guest and told me to use the self check-in computer. I would have much rather waited for him to finish and check us in himself. Instead, after traveling and just wanting to get my family into our room so we could sleep, I was expected to stand there and essentially do the front desk employee’s job myself. I do not pay a significant amount of money for a hotel room so that I can check myself in using an unfriendly computer. Get rid of the self check-in computer and provide actual customer service. Between the airport shuttle situation and the terrible check-in experience, this stay was incredibly frustrating and disappointing. I will not stay at this hotel again, and this experience has made me reconsider staying at any Wyndham property in the future.

Parking is thru an app $18 per day the hotel doesn’t charge you it would be nice to know in advance. Great location. Receptionist is cool. I checked in and out on my own thru the computer easily to use.

Literally one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The experience started with the airport shuttle driver, who was rude from the beginning. He also told me I’d be charged a $100 incidental hold, which I understood and expected. However, my bank shows a $202 authorization instead. When I questioned it, he insisted I was wrong rather than checking the information. I have the transaction from my bank confirming the amount. The Tuesday night front desk staff were also unfriendly. Since I didn’t check in until around 11:00 p.m. because my flight was canceled, they granted me a complimentary noon checkout instead of 11:00 a.m., which I appreciated. One thing to be aware of: the hotel advertises a bar, but it closes early, and room service was also unavailable. If you arrive late and need food, your best options are the McDonald’s next door or the sports bar at the neighboring Ramada. The problems continued the next morning. My room key was deactivated before my approved checkout time, so I had to return to the front desk to have it reactivated. Then, right at noon, a housekeeping employee knocked on my door and tapped his watch to indicate it was time to leave. Had my key not been deactivated before checkout, I would have already been out of the room. The final confirmation that this wasn’t just my experience came from another guest I met in the elevator, who asked if she was the only one having a bad stay. Based on my interactions with multiple employees across different shifts, I don’t believe it was an isolated incident. Unfortunately, I never encountered a staff member who was friendly or genuinely helpful.
