Hotel Kristall-Saphir

Stayed here for two nights this week with my coach group from the UK. The hotel itself is very pleasant. Bright, clean, and well maintained, with comfortable rooms and inviting common areas. The front desk staff were professional and helpful throughout our stay. Dinner was a little less convincing. There was a fixed menu each evening with only three very similar main course choices, and the meat and vegetarian dishes were served with identical sauces. Some of the dishes also felt a little out of place for a Swiss mountain village (for example vegetable spring rolls or tofu in sweet and sour sauce, served with frozen vegetables). The breakfast buffet, however, was nice and plentiful. Service in the restaurant was also somewhat inconsistent. Some staff were very friendly and attentive, while others were noticeably less so. Not quite the Swiss hospitality standard I had expected. That said, the hotel itself was comfortable and pleasant overall, and we enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful warm welcome and excellent rooms for linedance courses day and night! Besides best Swiss wine and dine with international touch. Very clean rooms and excellent quality of bed. Free busses and transportation! Most friendly personel I ever experienced in my life. Wonderful different hiking pathes. I will definitely come back for more.

Nice hotel with friendly service and great food. We stayed here one night spontaneously but it is worth to stay longer in this nice location. We definitely will come back. All public transportation including gondolas are included in the hotel price.

This has been, in the past, a nice hotel.We have found it on the MIGROS website. It is still nice but dated and the only competent service is to be found at the front desk. restaurant service is poor and waiters seem to be always an bad mood. Restaurant menu is also quite poor and the cook is not really good.The rooms are big and clean but tend to be overheated. if you have the choice just skip this place.
